Mecca Bingo

A woman was violently assaulted whilst playing at a Mecca Bingo Hall in Sunderland.

The police are appealing for information, following an incident at a Mecca Bingo Hall, where a woman was attacked during a game of bingo.

At the Mecca Bingo hall in Holmeside, Sunderland, on Saturday night, the 47 year old woman was assaulted by a man, who is now wanted by the police.

One punter who witnessed the attack described his shock. Speaking to the local paper the Sunderland Echo, he said that a man just got up in the middle of the bingo session and began hitting the woman.

“I’ve never seen him in there before. It was awful,” he said.

The police have said that their inquiries into the assault are on-going, and they have urged anyone with any information regarding the incident to get in touch.

The Sunderland Echo were unable to get a representative from Mecca Bingo to comment on the incident.
