Our newest member of Online Bingo Finder is Charlie, who is still a relative young pup in the world of online bingo. That doesn’t stop her from having a bit of a gob, and trust us; you don’t want to get her started on why outdated bingo sites get her goat…

If we are talking pet peeves when it comes to online bingo, mine has to be a bingo site that is a little bit behind the times. From out-dated promo content through to a site that offers absolutely zilch in terms of social contact, there are several versions of these offenders, which I am happy to finally get a chance to vent about, along with sharing with you the reasons why they wind me up in such a way.

So, why does it get my blood boiling in such a way eh?! Well, correct me if I’m wrong, but we are talking about online bingo sites here – sites that exist totally online, and thus, it’s pretty damn simple to keep your roomies in the loop with the latest and greatest in technology that can enhance your game playing experience. I don’t mean it in a geeky or techy way at all – I’m just talking about the basic idea of keeping up with these ever-changing times.

Keeping things ship shape-

My first and possibly biggest bugbear has to be the site that never keeps their promos updated. It’s just basic housekeeping and politeness to offer your customer the latest promos, rather than showing them details about a competition that ended 3 months ago and I never have a chance at winning at. Seriously. Why would you even bother?!

The online bingo grandma-

I’m talking about the bingo sites that managed to strike it big some years ago, thought they had found a winning formula and promptly stuck with it for the next 5 years. In the meantime, the online bingo world has moved on, and yet these sites are firmly stuck in the past when it comes to social networking features, multigame features and even the most basic auto daub and chat features.

The linked site –

Okay, this I know is a team gripe and I’m sure we’ll be moaning about it forever and ever. But it seems some online bingo sites seem to forget that considering there’s about 400 other sites just like them out there, they should probably try a little bit of variation. Instead, some sites just tart themselves up a little on the landing page, getting you all excited only to click through and find the same old promotions you’ve seen a billion times elsewhere.

Why does it matter?

So why does this matter so much to me eh?! Well, the point is, I want my bingo playing experience to include easy ways for me to get in contact with other roomies, some distractions away from the actual bingo game itself – in effect, the added extras that can make playing bingo online extra fun. After all, there’s only so much entertainment you can get from watching the numbers tick off (particularly if you’re lacking in a lucky streak lol). It’s not a case of dressing up your site to fool roomies into thinking it’s interesting – it’s about providing a great service that allows you as a player to interact with a site on all levels, whether it’s finding up to date info or another roomie to have a natter with. For us roomies, it can be off-putting to find a dud bingo site – so off-putting that it can stop you from finding a really great online bingo site.

See, the thing is, I find it surprising that given how much people go on about how social playing online bingo is, there are still some sites that are even less social than your standard offline bingo club. For those guys I’d definitely tell them to get with the times – after all, the online bingo world moves so fast that it’s all too easy to get left behind.
