Live Bingo NetworkOver the past six months, the Live Bingo Network has gone from being one of the smaller bingo networks on the internet to one of the biggest. At the beginning of the year, we brought you the exciting bingo news that Live Bingo Network and Winners Bingo Network were to merge and now, the last of the WBN sites have migrated to LBN to now make a network of 31 bingo sites in total.

Last week we saw Bingo Boat make the move to the Live Bingo Network and over the bank holiday weekend another ten sites have made the switch. The new sites on the network include; Bingo Legacy, Pay Day Bingo, Velvet Bingo, Bubblegum Bingo, Bingo Flame, Eat Sleep Bingo, Lucky Touch Bingo, 7 Bingo, Guau Bingo and Fun Bingo.

In the past 12 months, the Live Bingo Network has expanded from 8 bingo sites to 31 bingo sites, with more planned in the coming months. This latest wholesale expansion of the network means that the Live Bingo Network is now bigger than the likes of G2 Gtech (St Minver) and it is on a par with networks such as Virtue Fusion, following this latest expansion.

Is an expanding bingo network really good for players? Within reason, bingo networks can be a benefit for players. If any one of these 31 LBN bingo sites were a standalone brand, they would have quiet bingo rooms and small jackpots. However, all of the bingo rooms offered by site on the network a linked, which means that you may be playing at Aunty Acid Bingo but the people you’re competing against may be logged in at Landmark Bingo or Bingo Hotpot. Network rooms are therefore busier bingo rooms, which means that they have more players buying more tickets, creating bigger jackpots to play for.

Although bingo networks are a great idea in theory, if these networks get too big then each site becomes just another brick in the wall, so to speak. The brands all but lose their identity, as is the case with most brands in the Dragonfish Bingo Network, which is home to HUNDREDS of bingo sites that all look and play the same. This is something that the Live Bingo Network needs to keep in check. If the network expands too quickly and the individual sites don’t work hard enough to make their site unique from the rest, the Live Bingo Network could become the next boring old Dragonfish Bingo Network, and that would be a real shame.
