Why sugar?
- It’s a natural humectant
You what? This just means that sugar’s really good at absorbing moisture from the air and drawing it into the skin. Great if you suffer from skin dryness! - It’s full of natural glycolic acid
This substance breaks down the “glue” which bonds skin cells together. This might sound scary but it’s actually a really gentle way to remove dead and old skin cells and to rejuvenate with shiny new skin. - It’s an excellent exfoliant
Sugar makes a brilliant natural scrub for exfoliation, full of small granules which remove old skin without doing damage.
