An Aberdeen man has won big at Mecca Bingo

It seems going to a bingo hall still pays off.  One incredibly lucky man in Aberdeen has scooped a whopping £250,000 jackpot prize.

The man – who does not wish to be named – won the prize during the National Bingo Game in Aberdeen on June 8.

The 56-year-old was playing the National Bingo Game at Mecca Bingo’s Berryden club.

His wife, who was by his side as he won, reportedly nearly fainted from the shock.

He said he is planning to use the prize to pay-off his mortgage and also plans to retire next year.

David Hutton, manager of the Berryden club, said: “We were all very excited by the new National Bingo Game Jackpot and were amazed when our club won.

“The winner and his wife are regulars here and are well known to all the staff and players at the club. We’re all incredibly pleased for them and wish them all the best with their astonishing prize.”
