A 50-year-old woman was arrested for alleged cocaine dealing at a bingo centre in Ireland.
Helen Heaphy was arrested on Wednesday night at the Rock Bingo hall in Togher, Cork, Ireland. She was charged with possession of cocaine and with the intent for sale or supply.
She appeared at Cork District Court on Thursday. Her bail conditions include staying away from the Rock Bingo hall in Togher.
The accused made no reply to either charge.
Ms Heaphy’s solicitor Diane Hallahan said her client consented to all conditions of bail. Judge Leo Malone remanded her on bail to appear again on September 3.
Ms Hallahan applied for legal aid on the basis the accused was not working. Judge Malone required a written statement of means and when this was provided he then granted free legal aid.
