Masked thieves robbed more than $180,000 at gunpoint from a casino in America.
The two men robbed the Caesars Atlantic City at gunpoint on Monday morning, which has led to a massive manhunt today in Atlantic City.
Trooper, Alina Spies, told USA TODAY that New Jersey State Police were investigating a robbery on Monday of an undisclosed amount from an Atlantic City casino, but was unable to provide additional information.
The Press of Atlantic City and NBC 10 in Philadelphia, citing local police, reported that two suspects entered Caesars Atlantic City around 6 a.m. and at least one of them pulled out a gun before stealing two plastic boxes containing more than $180,000 in cash. The robbers then fled in a car.
The robbery comes amid a crisis for Atlantic City casinos, which have seen declining revenue for the past eight years.
Although authorities have declined to release any further details on the robbery, the flier said that the suspects got away with two cash boxes containing $181,200.
In January this year, Atlantic Club Casino Hotel closed down after more than thirty years in operation. Last month, moreover, Showboat Atlantic City announced that it will close on Aug 31. While Revel Casino Hotel also announced that it will shut its doors this summer if a buyer is not found and Trump Plaza is expected to close later this year.
