download (7)The popular bingo site, Bingo.com has this week launched a mobile version of its online casino that it hopes will boost the site’s European business.

In a move described by Bingo.com’s chief executive, Jason Williams, as “an important step forward for the company,” the Unibet-powered offering will be available in multiple languages and currencies.

Mr Williams said: “With our products, banking and support available to all handheld devices we’re now able to market in a full range of channels to potential players irrespective of their preferred platform.

“Our goal is to leverage our mobile casino and the increased reach of our brand to return Bingo.com’s gambling business to growth.”

The release of the mobile casino coincides with last week’s publication of the company’s second quarter results last week, which showed a 12 per cent year-on-year fall in gaming revenue to just to $426,921.

Bingo.com argues that the decline is a result of its decision to decrease the amount it spent on marketing ahead of the launch of the mobile casino. It is also soon to launch social casino offering Trophy Bingo, which was originally scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2014.

Bingo.com runs on the Parabol Network, which is primarily aimed at players from the Northern European countries of Sweden, Norway and Finland.  However, UK players are also welcomed to play at Bingo.com and other sites on the network.
