White Dee
The star of the hit TV show Benefits Street, White Dee, is one of the favourites to win this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, just behind Kelly Maloney, according to bookmaker odds.
The prize money up-for-grabs is £100,000, which is the equivalent of £4,545 a day.
White Dee has previously complained that she was “too depressed to work”.
Deirdre ‘White Dee’ Kelly found fame in January after she appeared in Benefits Street, a Channel Four documentary that followed the lives of residents of James Turner Street, in Winson Green.
Following her starring role in the show, she has regularly appeared in the British media, and has hosted bar crawls and pool parties in Magaluf.
She has been listed as 9/2 favourite to last the full 22 days and win the contest.
Former boxing promoter Kellie Maloney is in pole position to nab the crown of Big Brother winner, according to bookmakers, who have given him the odds of 5/2 to win.
Other housemates include former The Only Way is Essex star, Lauren Goodger, former heavyweight Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison, Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan and Emmerdale actress, Claire King.
The line-up is completed with Edele Lynch, from pop band B*Witched, model Kelly Brook’s boyfriend David McIntosh, Geordie Shore star Ricci Guarnaccio, Hollywood star Gary Busey, The Hills’ Stephanie Pratt and George Gilbey from hit show Gogglebox.
The show airs at 9pm on Channel 5.
