Not too long ago, we covered a ‘new bingo site’ called Square Bingo. It was due to launch on April 1st with a host of brand new features.

Of course, Square Bingo didn’t launch. It was an April Fool’s experiment created by Lindar Media (that’s us, by the way) to gauge how the online bingo industry would react.

We’ve put together an article about the success of the experiment on our sister site Online Bingo. It explains our reasoning behind the creation of Square Bingo and looks at some of the reaction to it.

Lessons learned?

It is also important to consider what Square Bingo has shown us about the industry. Are we doing what is best for the player? Is the industry growing in a sustainable manner? We feel that we learnt a lot from our Square Bingo experiment, and we really want others to learn from our findings too.
