Emma Bunton has just been crowned Foxy Bingo Celebrity Mum of the Year 2013! Spice Girl Emma has two handsome little boys, Beau and Tate with her partner Jade Jones.
There was a time when Emma thought she may never be a mum after discovering she had a condition called endometriosis and was told by doctors that only 50% of people with this go on to have children.
She was quoted as saying – ‘I remember the doctor saying at the time, “Fifty per cent of women with endometriosis go on to have children.” I thought, “Only 50 per cent…” It scared the life out of me. I was frightened. ‘I’ve been so worried for such a long time that I might not be able to be a mum.’
Emma had a pretty bad start to the year after her dog ran away and was later found dead. Hopefully being crowned Foxy Bingo Mum of the Year, will help cheer her up.
Speaking about her Foxy Bingo Celeb Mum of the Year Award Emma said: “I couldn’t ask for more this Mother’s Day than to have my two boys around me and this award on my mantelpiece. The best thing about winning Foxy Bingo ‘Celebrity Mum of the Year’ is that it’s chosen by you, the British public.
“I’m so honoured that thousands of you picked me, thank you to everyone who voted. This award is extra special because this is the most important thing – being a Mummy.”
The celeb mum of the year award has now been running for 12 years at Foxy Bingo. Katie Price aka ‘Jordon’, won this award last year and although nominated again, Katie only managed to make it to 7th place this year. Katie has been in and out of the headlines yet again recently, getting married once more in a whirl wind romance this time to Kieran Hayler and announcing she is expecting her 4th Child.
Foxy reported a record number of votes this year, which is bound to make Emma smile even more.
Coming in second place was Michelle Heaton, who is a close friend of Katie Price.
Rather controversially Kate Middleton was also nominated for the award, although shortlisted she did not make it into the top 10. As Kate has not yet had her baby, a fair few people thought she should not have been put in the selection in the first place.
