The 888Ladies Mobile Bingo app is currently only availble to use on an iPhone. They are one of the latest sites to launch a mobile bingo app and to get it, you just need to go to your app store, search for 888Ladies and install.
We have been informed that they will be releasing the app on other mobile devices shortly, but at the moment this offer is very limited.
Kirsten Smith from 888ladies commented: “As one of the most popular bingo sites in the UK, moving into the mobile gaming market is a natural step for 888ladies. Fans using iPhones will be able to access our popular 90 ball bingo game now plus a few instant games and additionally we will shortly be releasing the app on other devices.“
It is rather frustrating that you are only able to play 90 ball and just a few instant games at present, but as 888Ladies only offer 75 ball and 90 ball anyway (albeit different versions), things are not really going to get much more interesting on this front.
This is the one thing that lets this 888 down, as they just do not offer enough different bingo game variations. Take the likes of Mecca Bingo for instance, or even Tombola, these guys really are all about the ‘bingo’ and bring us so much choice in this area.
However, saying that 888 software has been hugely successful with UK Players and there are a number of different big named operators on the net which use it. 888Ladies of course, Foxy Bingo, Wink Bingo, Red Bus Bingo, Cheeky Bingo, Think Bingo and Posh Bingo to name just a few and that is before we even get to the 100+ sites who run on the Dragonfish network.
So what is it that makes us play at sites which run on Globalcom software? Well in the case of Foxy Bingo and Wink Bingo it has got all the big promotions these guys run on a regular basis. When Wink launched on the net they did so in a media frenzy offering a massive guaranteed £10,000 Jackpot game.
The sly fox is a marketing guru and they have continually evolved over the years. They have used just about every avenue of advertising they possibly could from putting on Dream Boy events in nightclubs up and down the UK, to the fox himself strutting his stuff on TV. This brand is so big now, Foxy is pretty much a household name.
The future of bingo certainly looks like it is heading down the mobile route, albeit on our smartphones or tablet devices. One thing is for sure though; operators face an uphill task on this one as there is still lots of work to be done behind the scenes before they come up with a product for our hand held devices which are as user friendly as web based sites.
The gaming world went mobile in a big way really because of the last World Cup, as sports operators launched their apps to make it even easier for punters to place their bets. Casino operators cottoned onto this fact pretty quickly, but bingo did not and these guys are currently playing a catch up game in the app world.
