Bogus Bingo Bonuses

It seems a lot of Bingo sites are offering a ‘share’ of large bingo prize sums in order to be able to share a large unattainable figure that will bring in the crowds. We saw it with the chance to win £1,000,000 from Mecca Bingo, players we drawn in, hoping to win the elusive £1,000,000 prize- but a closer look at the terms and conditions revealed that actually the most any one player would walk away with was £10,000.

Now we’re not saying that £10,000 isn’t a nice cash prize- if someone handed us £10,000 we’d be over the moon! We’re just questioning the phrasing.

No Harm, No Foul?

It’s all harmless, as we still get a nice big cash bump right? Well, no actually. In the bigger sites the bonus will be split and still be quite a sizable bonus, but what about the smaller prizes? Earlier today we wrote about Kitty Bingo’s Ghost Train and the £500 prize pot, let us break down for you what each player will actually get:

20 lucky players will win a share of £250 in cash!       >>   This means £12.50 each

20 lucky players will win a share of £150 in bingo bonus!       >>   This means £7.50 each

60 lucky players will win a share of 666 free spins!      >>   This means 11.1 spins each

Is that worth it?

So what can we do about it?

Well, not a lot is the simple answer. But you can make sure that you understand the rules of every competition you enter. Here at Two Little Fleas, we won’t write about an offer without reviewing the terms and conditions of each offer very carefully. Simply work out the cost (what you have to do to gain an entry) and compare it to the projected win (what is the biggest amount that you have the potential to win?)

In the case of the Kitty Bingo competition – you can enter for as little as £5, and if you share a photo of your Halloween costume on Facebook you earn a further 20 entries for free. That’s 30 entries for £5, with an estimated potential win of £12.50

So long as you enter every competition with your eyes open, you won’t be disappointed about the prize you receive. What do you think Roomies, have you ever entered a “Big Prize” competition and been disappointed with your winnings? Let us know in the comments.
