There are several types of bingo games and sites are creating new and innovative versions all the time, the most common versions are 90 ball bingo, 80 ball and 75 ball bingo. All the games follow the basic principle of covering off numbers on a card as they are called, the first to cover a line or form a winning pattern, wins a prize or the jackpot.

80 Ball Bingo is relatively new on the scene is 80 Ball bingo devised as a happy medium between the longer game of 90 ball and a short game of 75 ball bingo. 80 ball bingo cards have four rows and four columns, so 16 spaces in all and like 75 ball bingo each column is a different colour.  80 Ball Bingo also uses patterns on the cards like Four Corners and Big X and has its own blackout or full house version known as ”˜80 Full Card’.

The winner is the first player to complete the pattern or daub all the numbers on his card.  The size of the prize for each game depends on how many cards have been sold, at what price, and how many players are in the game. There are special ”˜progressive’ jackpots that can be won at any time on any game if the winning card is completed within a given number of balls. The progressive jackpots are fed by the tickets sold for a number of games and are therefore much larger than the normal or standard jackpot. If more than one player completes the pattern at the same time, the prize is split between the two.
