A Look at What’s Breaking in the Bingo World This Week

Kozmo Bingo, the wager-free bingo brand has announced they will be closing their doors for good on the 16th of this month. If you’re an active player or someone who has real money funds in their bingo account, you have until the 15th to log in and withdraw those funds. The reason for the closure is to make way for their new bingo site – Quality Bingo, which is also set to be a no wagering requirements brand with top-tier slots, multiple bingo rooms and real money promotions.

Canadian Free-for-All:

Great news for our readers in Canada now, as we’re hearing a new free-to-play bingo game is set to be launched by 888 later this year. The free session for Ontarian players will be the first venture by the 888 and Delta Bingo partnership in the regulated Canadian market, with a popular real money gambling brand at the helm – Dragonfish. We will reveal more details as we get them.

A Million Welcomes:

A massive £2.3m super bingo hall was opened in Wigan last week, and the opening ceremony was a star-studded affair! Club 3000 Bingo is now the third largest bingo operator in the UK, going from one bingo club in 2004 to 21 venues throughout the UK in 2021! The massive sum of money was pumped into the project to deliver that wow factor and they’ve certainly achieved that! Mikey North who plays Gary Windass in Coronation Street, was there to cut the ribbon and there was fizz, nibbles, a part atmosphere and free engraved champagne glasses and chocs for all those who turned up to the opening night.

Karen Gilligan, general manager, said: “The opening was a fabulous evening, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I was delighted to see so many customers at the event and would like to thank them for their support and my team who made it all happen on the night!”

Here’s all the numbers you need to know about Club 3000 Bingo:

  • 22 bingo halls across England, Wales, and Scotland with a further 2 currently in development.
  • They hold the world record for a single payout to one of their customers – £1.2million.
  • The average annual cash won is £81million, which is the equivalent to £6.7million per month or £1.7million per week.
  • In 2019, one of the team won the National Bingo Caller of the Year award.

A Nice Little Cover Up?

Gala Bingo’s new changes have gone down like a bucket of cold sick, with many a complaint plastered all over social media. It’s been two weeks now and either the complaints are coming to n end, or they’re all being deleted as quickly as they’re being posted. Only a few days ago there were multiple complaints regarding account closures – and it just so happened that those closures were only affecting those who were making the most noise on Facebook. Making bingo players wait 16-minutes between games is crazy, and we suggest rival operators take a visit to the page to see how it isn’t done! The only response we’ve had from Gala Bingo so far is a copy and paste message: “Many thanks for everyone’s feedback – We appreciate that the site changes are not to everyone’s liking – we have passed this feedback back to our Team – Thanks.”
