Our newest member of Online Bingo Finder is Charlie, who is still a relative young pup in the world of online bingo. That doesn’t stop her from having a bit of a gob, and it also seems, a bit of the eyes bigger than tummy trouble when it comes to big money bingo games…

Well, I know my eyes are bigger than my wallet sometimes. When it comes to big money games, I’m a bit of a fiend. I see some bingo site offering me a huge amount of money, I start planning my shopping sprees and purchase a ton of cards – only to see my dreams be snatched from my grasp by another roomie. I’m not bitter, honest, I’m just all too aware of spending big without really winning big. So what do you do when your online bingo eyes are bigger than your wallet?!

Well, seeing as we are coming up to not only the end of the week (aka prime big money game time) but the end of the month as well (aka mega prime big money game time), I figured a little post on how to control your big money urges may well be in order. See, before you even begin working out where you want to go on holiday with your bingo winnings, it kinda helps to win them first you know?! And so without further ado, here’s my top tips to avoid big money disappointment.

Accept the odds.

Right, it’s bubble bursting time here. The big money games I’ve played in my time haven’t been subdued affairs where I’m playing against say 42 other roomies. Oh no, they are massive bullring bingo games, where it’s me and 42,000 other roomies. Well, maybe I exaggerate a little – but some of the very biggest big money games do have over 40,000 roomies playing along. And that’s all great and good, but you gotta then reconcile yourself with the fact that the more players, the lower the chances you can win.

Adjust your expectations

That doesn’t mean to say you should avoid said bingo game, but adjusting your expectations can avoid a lot of the disappointment. It’s sensible talk I know, but seriously, it will make any win all the more sweeter if you aren’t constantly trying to chase it and winding up with all your balance cleared.

Smaller is sometimes beautiful..

Sounds simple doesn’t it?! But a good tip is always to measure up the size of the prize versus how much you are actually spending. A lower prize game may attract fewer roomies – and at the same time, a game where there is no ticket price at all will often attract more roomies cos it’s free. It’s all about balancing out – be it the number of roomies playing the game, how much is on offer and how much you have to pay for it. And smaller in most cases is more beautiful, as it makes your life a little easier.

A little splurging never hurt anyone

Providing you have a few bingo funds saved up, splurging on a game can certainly be fun every now and then. Set limits – how much do you really want to spend on cards? Don’t be afraid to look for games where you can earn free entries, particularly if you play a lot of bingo at that particular site. And pre-buying is another good option, as you can decide how many cards you want, way before the excitement of the game has you clicking at the autobuy option and you’ve maxed out again.
