The Rules Are Simple – Play By Them Or Be Banned!

Online bingo is more than just trying to win, it’s a community where we get the chance to make new friends and interact with people from all over the country. We are often given the chance to particpate in chat quizzes and games to win some terrific prizes too, but unless you know your bingo lingo and what not to do in the bingo rooms, you won’t stand a chance of winning!

Understanding (or brushing up on your) bingo etiquette is vital before you start playing or chatting, so settle in as we bring you everything you need to know about being a part of a thriving bingo community.

Stick To The Rules To Make It Better For All:

  • First of all players must respect the chat moderators (CM’s), they are there to make your visit an enjoyable one, and it goes without saying, you must respect you fellow roomies!
  • Don’t argue! Chat moderators will not take sides and if an argument starts to unfold before your eyes, don’t join in! A rude comment is all it takes to for the trolls to get what they want – an unhappy place and it’s usually the players who are losing that start the feuds.
  • Typing comments such as “it’s fixed”, “the same people are winning” and “when can I win?” won’t get you anywhere. All games – online casino and online bingo for example, are determined via a Random Number Generator (RNG) of which the bingo website, staff nor owner has access to. Bingo winners are random. Just be happy for other people winning as they would be happy for you to win too!
  • When a newbie comes in to chat try and make them feel welcome – remember your first time? It can be a scary environment when you don’t know how to play. Be kind.
  • A ban is 100% guaranteed for posting swear words, masked swear words, expressions of obscenity, sexism, racism, and other types of prejudice so be warned.
  • Try to keep the chat community an upbeat happy place to be, so we would advise not to post anything relating to politics or other sensitive topics.
  • CAPITAL LETTERS ARE A NO-NO! Did you know using capital letters in chat is considered as shouting? Well now you do! You will be warned if you continue to chat this way before being removed from chat completely for repeat offending.
  • Spamming is also forbidden. Spamming with links or references to other online bingo sites is also forbidden.
  • Keep the complaints for the right people who can help, not for chat! If you have a complaint, head to support where you can either email, telephone or live chat a help team member to voice your concerns.

Bingo Lingo For The Win:

More often than not bingo chat is awash with slang which simply means shortened versions of words for quicker typing. Imagine you’re waiting on one number, it would be quicker to type 1TG than it would be “I’m waiting on one number.”

Modern slang can be difficult to understand whether you’re a new bingo player or someone who has been playing bingo online (or offline) for years. How many of the following bingo terms do you know?

  • 1TG / 2TG / 3TG: One, two, three numbers to go for a win
  • GL: Good luck
  • FH: Full house
  • WDW: Well done winner
  • WTG: Way to go
  • BRB: Be right back
  • LOL: Laugh out loud
  • OMG: Oh my god
  • SYS: See you soon
  • YW / YVW: You’re welcome / You’re very welcome
  • ROFL: Roll on the floor laughing
  • NP: No problem
  • CM: Chat Moderator
  • WW: Who won?
  • GL4M: Good luck for more
  • JPW: Jackpot winner
  • HB: Hurry Back
  • UNXT: Up next
