Lots of online bingo sites have “48 hour pending withdrawals” conditions attached to all refund requests made.

This can be quite frustrating for us bingo players for two reasons.

1) We have to wait 48 hours before the refund goes back to our bank

2) We then have to wait a further 3 to 7 days for the money to hit our accounts (depending who we bank with)…

So what does that mean?

If we have a win, this means it could take well over a week before we see the money back in our bank!

When you fund your bingo account, the funds are immediately get taken from our accounts and are available to use instantly.

So…why does it take so long to get our withdrawals back?

Once the refund has been credited by a bingo site, it is not down to them how long the refund takes to hit our accounts,.

This is solely down to the banks and how their systems work.

Being able to withdraw money is a naughty tactic to make people spend more

However:

The ’48 hour pending withdrawal condition’ is something the bingo site has implemented themselves in their terms and conditions.

Online bingo sites who run on the Dragonfish network or Globalcom software are one of the worst offenders of this very unfriendly user t&c.

These are the terms and conditions you are greeted with at all Dragonfish powered network bingo sites –

“Withdrawal requests are processed 48 hours from the date of request. During this time you may cancel your withdrawal request by clicking the Reverse Withdrawal button in the Cashier and returning the funds to your Bingo account. This will allow you to play again without making a new deposit to your Bingo account.”

And that’s not all:

“After 48 hours the status of your withdrawal request will change to Completed and you will no longer be able to cancel it.”

So… angry bingo player rant time:

What I do not understand is why they have implemented a 48 hour withdrawal time process in the first place?

During this 48 hour period, you can cancel your refund transaction at anytime!

So basically, the temptation is there to stop the withdrawal going through and spend the money at the bingo site instead – very naughty! Plus it seems to take ages to get our winnings back.

I am yet to see a valid reason as to why this is in place.

Dragonfish if you would like to oblige us with an answer it would be most helpful?

But, there is a positive side:

Not all online bingo sites have this condition in place I am happy to say.

Take Tombola Bingo for instance, not only are these guys all about the bingo, but when you request a withdrawal, there is no withdrawal option.

And no withdrawal process times either, only the standard refund process with your payment provider.

So, hats off to Tombola! If you want to find more online bingo sites minus the ridiculous withdrawal condition, here is a good list.
