Blue SqBlue Square Bingo are basically now, Betfair Bingo after gaming industry giants Betfiar purchased them in a £5m deal from the Rank Group just a few days ago.

This means Blue Square Bingo is no more and all of their members are now being re-directed through to Betfair Bingo. Incidentally, Betfair Bingo only opened its virtual doors last week, which you could say was impeccable timing for this acquisition.

Important Blue Square Bingo Player Information

If you had an account with Blue Sq, all your account details have been moved over to Betfair and this includes any funds you had remaining in your account. To activate your Betfair account and access your funds, you simply need to log in using your existing Blue Square details.

Message on Betfair’s site reads as follows –

“Blue Square is now a part of Betfair. Your new account is waiting for you. Simply sign in to activate your new account and access your Blue Square funds. If you’ve already moved to Betfair, great offers are already waiting for you. Bet & win today.”

If you liked playing at Blue Sq, you will not find Betfair much different as they have launched their product on virtue fusion software, the same as Blue Square run on. So all the bingo rooms and games they offer will be pretty much the same as you are used to.

Betfair Bingo

Just like Blue Sq, Betfair predominately come from a sports book / casino background, which means you will find lots more available to bet on at their site along with bingo.

Their online bingo product is a ‘menu tab’ in the midst of a number of gaming activities such as, sports, casino, live casino, poker, exchange games, poker, arcade games, top slots and mobile.

Another online bingo site has closed its virtual doors forever, but in the grand scheme of things with over 300+ different sites available to select from – We do not feel the closure of Blue Sq will have a major impact on the industry or players.

Betfair also acquired Blue Squares branding and operations in the buyout, but one thing they did not transfer over in this deal was their affiliate accounts, which has left many of their affiliate partners up in arms.
