Fly back to the 80s with Playtech’s Top Gun slot

The Sopranos, Marvel, Rocky… Licensed slot games are all the rage nowadays. People just love spinning reels that have familiar faces on them!

Now, Playtech is taking us back to the 80s with a new Top Gun slot game.

Released in 1986, Top Gun was a huge hit when it launched, turning a young Tom Cruise into a superstar.

In honour of the film’s 30th anniversary (and possibly to link with the rumoured sequel), Playtech is bringing Maverick and co to the online gaming world.

The Top Gun slot game will use video and audio clips from the film to create an authentic experience, with high-tech graphics and animations putting the player in the pilot’s seat of a F-14 Tomcat.

Bonus chances to win are created when a fighter jet turns up and fires on the reels. Wild symbols are randomly added to the game in an explosive manner, opening up new winning lines.

In total, there will be an impressive 243 ways to win!

Stay mobile

Mobile players will be able to get in on the fun too, as the game is already confirmed for smartphones and tablets – it’ll be available on all platforms from launch.

Currently, we expect Top Gun to launch on several online casino sites as an exclusive game. Bet365, 7Regal and Omni are all likely to receive the game when it goes live and we’ll hopefully see it make its way to bingo sites too when it gets popular.
