Play Gala Bingo

Gala Bingo have been doing some sums behind the scenes, and have worked out what they think adds up to the luckiest possible player.

However, it’s not just about numbers – it’s also about the way you look, and the online bingo site has also figured out the luckiest face for both male and female members.

Despite drawing characteristics from some of the UK’s best-known sports stars, actors and actresses, the mug shots don’t make for the prettiest of viewing, as you can see below.

The Luckiest Man

Daniel Craig’s hair
David Beckham’s eyes
Alan Carr’s nose
Simon Cowell’s mouth
Alan Sugar’s beard
Louis Smith’s face shape

Who’d have thought putting all of those things together would give you a pretty close approximation of Bradley Walsh?

This guy might be a bit of a mish-mash of body parts, but he actually manages to still be quite handsome – Becks’ eyes and Cowell’s mouth help to hold the face together.

The Luckiest Woman

Helen Mirren’s hair
Adele’s eyes
Kate Moss’s nose
Kate Winslet’s mouth
Jessica Ennis’s face shape

We’re not too sure on this one, but it looks a little bit like a pink-haired Caroline Feraday, which I’m sure the radio host will be thrilled to hear.

Kate Winslet’s mouth looks a little odd out of context, but Adele’s eyes are as striking as ever, even in these unfamiliar surroundings.

Are You Lucky?

You’ll be relieved to hear that you don’t have to look like either of the above images in order to be lucky (although it might help).

Gala Bingo’s behind-the-scenes maths has uncovered a few more likely characteristics of the theoretical ‘luckiest’ player.

If you’re a 58-year-old man or a 37-year-old woman, you’re statistically likely to win the most at Gala Bingo – although they’re keen to point out that their games are still a matter of chance.

If you live in Stoke-on-Trent, you’re in the UK’s luckiest town, while on a slightly broader basis, Central Scotland is the luckiest region, with the south-west of England and the county of Lancashire close behind.

Alison Digges, director of Gala Bingo, says: “We create so many winners every day, we’re well used to seeing the fantastic expressions on our members’ faces when they realise they’ve won.”

Gala Bingo are now launching a ‘Winning Face’ competition to find their member with the best facial expression when they realise they’ve won – for a chance to appear in an upcoming Gala Bingo TV advert.

To take part, grab the Gala Bingo Winning Faces Facebook app, but be quick, as you’ve only got until 9pm on Friday May 24th to join in.
