Gala Bingo: world’s biggest balls

Gala Bingo is now the record holder of the world’s biggest bingo balls.

The bingo firm won the world record in conjunction with the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign (MCAC) on July 18.

GalaBingo.com donated their proceeds from Coronation Street games to the cancer charity from June 20^th – July 3^rd. It raised £10,000 for the charity.

The world record attempt took place on the former set of Coronation Street, and was watched by a Guinness World Record adjudicator, as well as several notable ex-Coronation Street actors and actresses, such as Steven Arnold (Ashley Peacock), Adam Ricket (Nicky Tilsley), Shobna Gulati (Sunita Alahan) and Sherrie Hewson (Maureen Webster). The event was hosted by Alison Hammond of This Morning and a good friend of Gala Bingo.

Director of GalaBingo.com, Alison Digges, said of the partnership “We are delighted to be joining up with the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign for our World Record attempt and we hope that the promotional games and the event itself will raise a lot of money and more importantly additional awareness for this very important charity”.

In recent weeks, Gala Bingo players have been playing unique games in the Coronation Street Bingo Room, which offered gamers the opportunity to attend the world record attempt at the Coronation Street Tour venue in Manchester, where Coronation Street was formerly filmed.

World record balls

The site launched a new game during the world record attempt called ‘Corrie Bouncy Balls’.

Gala Bingo won the world record after 66 calls won on lucky number seven.
