Luck of the Irish? Nah, it’s the luck of the Scottish you want! Today it was announced that a couple scooped a massive £255,000 playing the national game at Mecca Bingo in Glasgow.
The Glaswegian couple, who wish to remain anonymous, won the life-changing amount on St Patrick’s day; they must have been flirting with a leprechaun or something to win that kind of cash!
In one of the cutest stories we have ever reported, the husband and wife played bingo at the same club for almost 20 years since 1996. This massive win follows on from news that the Forge Mecca Bingo club is the fifth luckiest club in the UK, with 54 massive wins recorded in the space of a year between February 2014 and February 2015.
Life-changing luck
Paul McGlinchey, the understandably thrilled Manager of the Forge Mecca Bingo said, “The atmosphere in the club was electric. When the amount was announced they were in complete shock and could barely believe it.
“It’s fantastic for the whole club when we get a big winner, especially when it’s one of our regular players, and in this case it was two!”
But the all important question remains unanswered… which half of the duo reined in those life changing numbers? Well, it was the husband this time who made dreams come true, and we hear he will, of course, be sharing it with his wife. Two Little Fleas think this is a good idea – hell have no fury like a woman scorned and all that!
