I got to be honest with you fleas, I’ve recently started to get a little fed up of playing the same bingo games. Week in week out we see online slots hitting the shelves but there was never any sign of anything new bingo wise. Until today that is!
Can you imagine my surprise when an email pinged its way into my inbox this morning with the heading ‘New Bingo Game!’ I instantly thrust it open to discover that there is something just around the corner – the introduction of Even Stevens; the new bingo bloke on the block!
Aiming to deliver more thrills and more chances to win, the folks behind Chit Chat Bingo, BingoZino and Bid Bingo have devised a new bingo variant where everyone gets the same chance if winning! There’s nothing worse than playing to win and discovering that someone has bought an obscene number of tickets at an increased cost – it hardly seems fair!
So, to eliminate greed and spending more than you need to, Even Stevens will be launching on June 3rd with a promise; everyone has the same number of tickets and therefore the same chance of winning.
Feeling of Deja-Vu?
If the aspect of this new type of bingo game sounds a little familiar to you…
…you have either played Bingo 50 (Bubble Wrap Bingo) over at Tombola or you’ve tried Mecca Bingo’s Best Odds Bingo (BOB), both of which offer the same chances to win, despite operating very different mechanics.
Tombola’s is a 50-ball bingo game with four prices; 25p, 50p, 75p and £1, with prizes for one-line and a full house, based on the stake of your ticket. Over to Mecca Bingo now and they too offer multi-stake options, however, the number of players in the room have been restricted and this means less prize money for your stake.
How will Even Stevens work? We’re unsure to be honest (the news was sketchy!), but what we do know is tickets will cost 4p each and there are 24 per player per game (96p stake). Room doors open between 4pm and 11pm but as far as the number of players in the room go, we’re not entirely sure. Will it be a welcome to all or will there be a cap?
My guess is the number of players in the room will be unrestricted and this will lead to larger prize pots. Oh, did I forget to say this will be a new version of 90-ball bingo? We hope this means three prizes per game and three chances to win!
Remember, even odds don’t mean you’re guaranteed a win, it just means you’ve more chance of winning. If you want to maximise your chances of winning, play at off-peak times, play in rooms where everyone has the same number of tickets in play or try your luck in the ‘late night show’ promo, where rooms are open to the first 75 players!
