Bingo Stars

Players on Love Bingo are now being redirected to Bingo Stars.

The bingo website, Love Bingo has closed down.

On Thursday, the site started re-directing its players to Bingo Stars, which operates on the Bede Gaming software.

However, player details have not been passed over to Bingo Stars, so it is up to players whether to try out Bingo Stars.

The site is offering bingo players a free £10 no deposit bingo bonus.

It is widely believed in the industry that the Point of Consumption Tax will result in further closures.

Love Bingo was launched in June 2013 as a standalone site.

While this week saw the launch of Betway Bingo, with the Point of Consumption Tax looming it is widely believed that some sites may also collapse as Love Bingo has.

This tax, which is also known as the 15p tax, comes in on December 1st 2014.

Currently, gambling firms are taxed on the basis of the ‘Point of Supply’, i.e. they are taxed by the country where they are based and on their profits. However, as of December 1st, gambling firms will pay tax to the British government on the basis of where the bets and wagers are placed by their customers. This means that all bets placed online in Britain will require the firm to pay 15% of their revenue to the British government.

Two Little Fleas reported earlier on Friday that the pending tax was already affecting the gambling industry, with Magic 888 Casino being closed down.

Anyone that may have missed the Love Bingo closure notices have until mid-January 2015 to get in touch with the LoveBingo Support Team on 0800 376 5619 or by emailing support@bingoresponse.com.
