Unbelievable Prize for Welsh Bingo Newbie
Winning big money by playing bingo is a dream all bingo players have, but very few of us actually manage it. Just a few days a go one lucky Welsh lady found herself calling house on a big jackpot prize but refused to believe it was real. Initially she thought she had won £15K, but when she was told her ticket had won her a mega £50K – on top of the in-club full house prize money, she remained adamant they must have been wrong. And she had only been playing bingo for a few months!
As soon as the cash landed in her bank her daughter asked what she was going to do with the money and she replied that she is “going to get a tattoo, buy a mattress, and get the garden done. She (the daughter) was laughing and pointed out that all those would only take up a few thousand and what was I going to do with the rest of it.”
Lady Luck for Julie
Since her win, Julie has been back to the club in the hope her beginner’s luck is still very much with her. “I have been back since,” she said. “It has been lovely; everyone has been so excited. I’m definitely going to keep going. We go for the fun and the atmosphere more than anything.” Having only started playing a short while ago, Julie was unaware you could win such large sums of money from playing bingo. She clearly didn’t read about the biggest bingo winners before signing up then!
When a National Bingo Game winner scoops the top prize, a special party is hosted for the winner and all other guests, and on June 9th, Julie and the rest of the Cardiff Club 3000 Bingo branch will be treated to champers, free food and a heavily reduced bingo session – if not free! If you’re a member of this particular club, check with the team to see when the doors open and the current offers. You don’t have to have been at the club at the time of the win to take part in the celebrations.
Cardiff Club 3000 Bingo Manager, Colin Russell, said: “The atmosphere in the club was electric, all the customers burst into applause and started cheering, the mood in club was very much uplifting, which was wonderful, nights like these is what makes bingo so special, we are so happy for Julie and her family we will be celebrating with a party on 9th June where Julie will receive her cheque presentation.”
The National Bingo Game is played on an afternoon and evening each day with participating clubs up and down the country teaming up to award big cash prizes. Every club has it’s own full house winner, with multiple jackpots available if a player calls a full house within 24, 20 or 16 calls.
