Turning Up May Lead to Being Turned Away!

Mecca Bingo clubs around the UK are opening their doors on 17 May 2021! This is the date I’ve had reserved in my diary and I don’t care if I need to battle the elements to go to my local bingo hall. It’s been so long; I’ve actually forgotten what the inside of the building looks like! Many of us are looking forward to being able to socialise over a few games of bingo once again, to have fun, enjoy great company with a meal and/or a drink or two, but there are some things you need to know before you go heading off down to your local venue, including how to book and what to do on arrival.

Bingo FAQ’s:

  • Q: When Are Mecca Bingo Halls Opening Up Again?

A: Monday May 17th.

  • Q: What Time Do I Need to Be There By?

A: We recommend turning up 30-minutes before your session begins, but there could be queues on the first few days of opening, so try to arrive before this. Nobody wants to find themselves still queuing for a table when the bingo games are getting underway.

  • Q: Do I Need to Book in Advance to Play?

A: You don’t need to, but you can. If you’re worried about just turning up and being turned away due to maximum capacity, Mecca Bingo recommend booking a session via the website. Please be advised, they will not accept same day bookings, but you’re welcome to turn up (early) in the hope of getting a seat.

  • Q: I Try to Sit at the Same Table Each Time, Is This Still Possible?

A: The online booking system has a ‘special request’ section where you can request to sit where you once sat, providing you know the table number. There are no guarantees, but they will try their best to accommodate you.

  • Q: How Do I Book a Table to Play at My Local Mecca Bingo?

A: Use the online booking calendar tool and select you preferred time. It’s as simple as that.

  • Q: How Much Will it Cost to Play Bingo Now?

A: The price per session will depend on the day and time. Afternoons on Sunday to Friday are £15, Afternoons on a Saturday are £20. Evenings on a Monday to Thursday are also £20 while evenings on Friday to Sunday are £25. The prices stated are estimated to cover 2 whole hours of bingo games but the funds are not specific to games, so you can choose how you want to spend the credit when you get to the club, whether that be on bingo, the slots or food and drink.

  • Q: What Happens If I Want Food and Drink?

A: You can pre-order your drinks to benefit from great savings. Food can be ordered in club.

  • Q: What Happens if I’m Running Late?

A: you need to arrive before session time begins or you will miss out. If you plan on being at the club before the bingo commences but are worried you may lose your table, give them a call and they will hold it for another 15-minutes.

  • Q: Can I Amend My Booking at Any Point to A Different Date?

A: Yes, but you must give as much notice as possible.

  • Q: Can I Add/Remove People on My Booking?

A: This can be done by replying to the confirmation email or for a much quicker amendment, you can call your local club directly.

  • Q: If I Need to Cancel My Booking, What Happens to My Payment?

A: Cancellations must be made at least 24-hours before your booked session or you may not be eligible for a full refund. Processing booking refunds will take 10-20 working days to reach your account.
