Rock and Roll BingoHere is a different concept for you, Rock and Roll Bingo. This fun themed game was the brain child of Mark Walsh back in 2007, when he was sitting at a pub in Leeds.

Rock and Roll Bingo has become so popular, Mark now employs seven staff within his company ‘Owdoo Ltd’ and they have over 2,000 clients on their books.

Mark now hopes to expand further, pushing Rock and Roll Bingo out to Europe and America.

The game of bingo has evolved over the years and there are so many different versions you can play today. Traditional 90 ball, was the first game to really have an impact on the public, then along came 75 ball bingo imported from America.

Land based clubs then introduced cash line / party bingo games to play during the intervals of main sessions and online bingo sites have taken bingo to a whole new playing field.

Tombola has some really great themed games available to play, such as bubble wrap bingo, bingo roulette, bingo90, bingo80, bingo75, bingo60 and even bingo50 (which is the bubble wrap version). Each of them have their own twist and come loaded with jackpots to play for.

Mecca has got to be in the running for having the most themed bingo games to play at an online site. You will find all sorts of fun varieties like Britain’s Got Talent, snakes and ladders, turbo, lucky numbers and blockbuster bingo to name just a few.

Now we have Rock and Roll Bingo brought to us by Mark and incidentally, in 2009 he was approached by industry giants Mecca, they wanted to use his idea to attract a younger market to their clubs.

Mark explains the thinking behind Rock and Roll Bingo, he said, “We always did well in the music round and one night, the idea just came to me. My nana used to go to the bingo so I decided to come up with a way to put music and bingo together. I picked up a beer mat, and began writing down how I could see the idea working. It would be a game that would appeal to everyone – women, men, young and old. Then it was a matter of fine tuning, and a lot of hard work to get the idea off the ground. Back then, I never imagined for a minute how successful it would eventually become. “

The concept of Mark’s idea is basically identical to regular bingo, but as you can see, it comes loaded with a fun musical twist. Sometimes the simple brainwaves, really are the best ones.
