We’ve all been busy at Online Bingo Finder these last few weeks, reviewing tons of new additions to our bingo reviews section. And unfortunately, it seems to have given Charlie a bit of a reason to rant. As our newest member, Charlie’s definitely got a bit of a gob, and it seems she’s got a bee in her bonnet about linked bingo sites. Read on for the full deets if you dare!

Seeing as it’s October and everything, I guess this means the online bingo world is more predisposed to trick rather than treat us roomies. Having reviewed a handful of new sites last week for our bingo reviews, I cannot begin to tell you just how much it gets my goat when a bingo site fools me into believing it’s something different. Which is why for me, standalone bingo sites stand head and shoulders above the majority of the bingo competition. Read on to find out more.

Picture the scene if you will. Relative new bingo player steps onto one lovely looking bingo site, finds the range of promos is pretty good and signs up. A couple of months/weeks/days later, she steps onto another great looking bingo site and gets a horrible sinking feeling. For although the site looks completely different, the promos, rooms and indeed, the winners are just the same as the previous one, which means all hopes of said bingo site becoming new favourite bingo site are completely trashed.

Welcome to my online bingo groundhog day. Last week was spent reviewing a ton of new bingo sites, only to find out I’ve played at them before (although naturally, with a different homepage). It is beyond frustrating, particularly when you consider how hard it is to find a good bingo site already, without running the risk of playing at a copycat bingo site that wont bring you anything extra at all. And in some cases, that becomes incredibly limiting, as if you’ve signed up at one bingo site on a particular network, you’ll find yourself left out in the cold at others who share the same backend technology and games.

I get the idea that sharing is caring. Believe me I do. I get that allowing bingo sites to pool their players results in bigger prizes, giving the bigger bingo boys a bit more competition. But why, oh why why must a bingo site be so ruddy lazy or just plain insulting to us roomies when it comes to launching something “new”?! The way I see it, plenty of online bingo sites can run promos together (cough cough Wink Bingo, Posh Bingo, Tasty Bingo, Red Bus Bingo and Bingostreet) and even share instant games (pretty much most bingo sites) or linked jackpot games (such as the Bingo Linx), without sacrificing all of their individual charm.

So, this is my new bingo resolution. I’m giving the standalone sites a go from now on. No more networking, no more shared games. The trouble is, these sites are pretty hard to come by. I’m a little bit taken with Rogers Bingo at the moment, mainly because they are the first standalone bingo site I’ve seen in quite some time. Sure there’s your usual star turns at the bigger bingo sites, who have the same game platform as others but in a standalone version, but I’m really trying to look for something different here. With this in mind, get ready for our top five standalone bingo sites coming very soon – the perfect tonic for anyone bored to the back teeth of yet another “new bingo site” without anything new at all.
