Big Cash, Year’s Contract and Hotel Stay to be Won!
Are you a bingo caller by profession and consider yourself to be fun, charismatic and entertaining? Or are you simply a bingo player with no experience other than a passion for entertaining others? If so, Dabbers Social Bingo want to hear from you! Dabbers Social Bingo, otherwise known as London’s best-loved alternative bingo hall, is calling out to comics, magicians, drag artists, cabaret queen’s, burlesque performers and everything in between as they hunt for the “Next Top Bingo Caller.”
Bingo and comedy go hand-in-hand with Dabbers and their regular nights include crowd-pleaser performers and plenty of belly laughs with past guest hosts including Aurie Styla, Marcel Lucont, Olaf Falafel, Tony Law, Tom Houghton, Eleanor Conway, and many more, but they want to tap into fresh talent and as such are hosting a countrywide search for that one person who can captivate an audience and keep them enthralled. Could that be you?
New Talent Competition in Town:
The Dabbers team visit The Edinburgh Festival every year in search of entertainers but instead of waiting until august, they want to host auditions as a new way to search for new callers who they may not necessarily otherwise come across. This year’s new bingo competition which will be held via a series of heats at Dabber’s Bingo Hall in Houndsditch EC3 (4 min walk from Aldgate Tube) and will be hosted by BBC New Comedy Award finalist Sikisa Bostwick, with a judging panel made up of agents, festival bookers and journalists.
Entry requirements are simple, you send in a short video of yourself before the deadline and hope to be invited to the heats…
…where the winner will be given £1,000 in cash, a luxury hotel stay and a 12-month contract with Dabbers Social Bingo. It will be like hitting the jackpot! You win a competition and get employment guaranteed for the next year! You are not required to be a professional, but you must have something that makes you stand out. They’re hardly going to pick someone shy who can’t talk are they, so be creative!
Whether you can juggle while calling numbers, tell tongue-in-cheek jokes, perform acrobats or something completely unique to you, they really do want to hear from you. You have until midnight on Friday 11th March to send in a video no longer than one minute. No need to splash out on a professional cameraman because all they want to see is your style.
