It’s that time of year again folks, where Graham Norton delivers an exceptional (and funny) commentary session on performances from around Europe; yes, it’s almost time for the Eurovision Song Contest. Last year, Lisbon claimed the crown with Netta’s bizarre ‘Toy’ entry, and thanks to this, the Eurovision Song Contest will be taking place in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Some 200 million people tune (get it?) in every year to watch the hopeful contestants sing their hearts out, but the winner is chosen by the public – people like you and me who phone in for their favourite acts. To stop any kind of ‘cheating,’ you cannot vote for your own country, which is fair. The United Kingdom never do well in this contest, regardless of the singer behind the mic, which leads to some great outbursts from TV funny man Graham Norton.

Contest of Champions:

Saturday 18th May is when the fun begins at 8pm and carries on through until 11:40pm on the BBC1, but who is representing the UK? On the 8th Feb 2019, the viewers of the Eurovision: You Decide show were asked to vote for their favourite and Michael Rice, the 21-year old former X Factor contestant and All Together Now winner was crowned the champion.

He’s up against some stiff competition though, what with DJ Darude aiming to mix up success in Tel Aviv. Singing for his home-country, DJ Darude shot to fame in 1999 after releasing the Sandstorm dance hit, which became an international hit and it’s safe to say it still remains a popular song to this very day. Sandstorm was an iconic anthem, so my money is on the Finnish DJ this year.

Without singing your heart out to millions of people, you too could be a winner, thanks to Bet365 Bingo’s latest Eurovision-themed promotion.

Get the party snacks in and some drinks, because Saturday is going to be an evening of entertainment, what with the acts on the stage and Bet365 Bingo’s special promotion coming to a crescendo! Who will you be backing this year? Regardless of who you think will be a winner, there’s plenty of cash waiting to be won, you just got to be in it to win it! Good luck!
