If you’re a fan of dance music and you’re over the age of 30, chances are you’ve heard of the band N-Trance. Made famous for their track, ‘Set You Free,’ featuring Kelly Llorena, the band stormed the charts in 90’s and become a global success. Fast-forward almost three decades and the world-famous track is still being played.
Founded in 1990 by Dale Longworth and Kevin O’Toole, the UK duo started out producing a dance version to the TV theme, ‘Roobarb,’ but this was closely followed by their ‘Back to Bass’ track and it was so good, Pete Waterman signed them up to his records label. The band have done many remixes including versions of records from Scooter and Ultrabeat – another two high-profile bands on the dance-scene, but now they’re trying something new!
“Bonkers Bingo is BACK with a vengeance with a LIVE DJ set from N-Trance, and this time we’re sassier, fiercer, but definitely not classier. From big balls bouncing off your face to the cringiest dance-offs, we don’t bring the party. We are the party. Fresh beats will be dropped on the decks, tasty grub is served all night and the drinks are over-flowing. (However fabulously you drink, please drink responsibly.)” Eager to know more? Read on!
Bingo and a Boogie:
Music is part and parcel of everyday life; from television adverts to sporting events, and now you get to experience it in a new form; a performance in a bingo hall courtesy of Mecca Bingo. This October, a Glasgow-based Mecca Bingo hall will see the popular N-Trance band take to the stage but only after an evening session of bingo.
Doors open as usual on the 4th October and as soon as the last ticket has been daubed, the band will take to the stage until around midnight and the manager of the bingo hall, Paul McGlinchey, has great expectations for this upcoming event:
“This event is the ultimate night out – people genuinely go Bonkers for Bingo. This time we have even more wacky prizes up for grabs, delicious food and cocktails on offer, as well as music from N-Trance and a few extra surprisesthrown in. Past events have been incredible, so we’re excited to be welcoming locals back into the mad house that is Bonkers Bingo, it’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.”
Tickets can only be purchased from the Eventbrite website and they range from £8.68 to £11.37 (depending on where you want to sit) and the good news is you don’t have to be a resident of Glasgow to take part in this one-off event; as long as you have a ticket and transport you’re welcome to join in the fun.
If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, you’ll need to bring ID. No need to waste paper by printing a ticket, simply show the guys on the door your ticket on your mobile and you’ll be granted access. Save the trees!
