As soon as you get any familiarity with online bingo you start to wonder if there are teams of sweating ‘creatives’ locked in rooms desperately trying to come up with new names for sites, many of which are just pretty shells for the same games. Royal Games have turned the tables on us however, with a rebrand that invited players to come up with the new name.
It’s an interesting idea, after all these sites want to encourage interaction and a sense of ‘ownership’ from their players, and what could inspire that more than coming up with a new name?
Royal Games uses G2 Gtech software and is run by Spielo International (Gibraltar) Limited, and is part of St Minver network, similar to Daily Star Bingo and Vernons Bingo.
The site has already changed its software once. But don’t worry, even if they do change the name you won’t have to worry about your funds, your account will just roll over to the new site.
The latest news is that you have until 15th July to vote with the rebrand – they’ll have some design work to do we assume – to take place by the 20th.
Sadly, you don’t have a free hand (I like the idea of Leeds United Bingo, but that’s a personal thing), and there’s a list of names from which to take your pick.
Here they are, with our take on them:
1 – Bingo Zino – Not quite sure why.
2 – Flow Bingo – Ok, it has a positive, moving feel to it.
3 – Okey Bingo – You’ll have noticed we spell it OK.
4 – Players Bingo – Thank heavens they haven’t gone all gangsta and gone for playas.
5 – Red Shoe Bingo – this is pretty random, or are we missing something. One of our older correspondents claims to remember a series of ‘erotic thrillers’ by this name.
There is of course a prize to encourage you to take part in this brave new age of bingo democracy – if bingo sites can do it, why can’t Egypt? – and you could be on your way to Puerto Banus or enjoying one of 10 prizes of £50.
You have until 15th July to vote at Royal Games Bingo and the winners will be announced at the site by 20th July 2013.
