Isle of Bingo Review 1 1

If you want to ‘get away from it all’ and escape to far away shores, the latest bingo site to launch on the Dragonfish Bingo Network may be just what you’re looking for.  Isle of Bingo is a newly launched (December 2013) bingo site that has a desert island theme does the site whisk you away to an ‘Isle of Paradise’ or pack you off on a daytrip to the Isle of Wight?  Let’s castaway and see where we wash up.

Set Sail

To get started at Isle of Bingo, you will need to open a new account with them.  If you’ve ever signed up at another site on the Dragonfish Bingo Network, you will find the entire process familiar and very easy indeed.  There will be no need to rope in Man Friday, for assistance.

The signup form has three small sections to complete – personal details, contact details and financial details.  As you complete each field you will see either a green tick or a red cross next to it, letting you know that you’re doing it right…or wrong.  Providing that all of the green ticks light up, you can continue but if there are any fields incorrectly filled out, you will get the dreaded red cross and you’ll have to revisit that particular question.

Bonus Bounty

When you first run aground on the Isle of Bingo, you will find a barren beach that doesn’t have a no-deposit bonus.  However, you aren’t left deserted for long.  When you first decide to add funds to your new Isle of Bingo account, you are treated to a 400% first deposit bonus.  However, this should be more accurately advertised as £20 free when you deposit £5, as £20 is the biggest first deposit bonus available.  The standard Dragonfish reload bonuses are then available with all future deposits – 50% bonus with £20 minimum deposits or 25% with £10 deposits.

Oasis of Free Bingo

While you relax on the beach at Isle of Bingo, you have the opportunity to win a share of the buried treasure that’s up for grabs in the free bingo rooms.  There are five free bingo rooms to choose from – one for unfunded players, one for funded players and one for each of the three VIP levels.  When you first arrive on the Isle of Bingo, you will automatically have access to the non-funded Free Bingo All room.  Then, as you make deposits and climb the VIP levels, the other bingo rooms become available.

Island Games

There are three bingo variants to choose from at Isle of Bingo – classic 90-ball bingo, US-style 75-ball pattern bingo and 75-ball line bingo.  You will find these different games spread across a dozen or so bingo rooms, all of which are hosted on the Dragonfish Bingo Network.  The obvious advantage of playing in networked bingo rooms is busier rooms and bigger jackpots.  However, in the same breath it could be said that some of these bingo rooms can be a little too busy at peak times…especially for someone who enjoys the quieter castaway lifestyle.

The bingo games on the island are joined by a selection of popular online slots and side game titles.  Play a variety of games such as Secret Garden, Pirate Princess and Dolphin Reef in between bingo games at Isle of Bingo.  In fact, many of these games can be accessed as mini-games from the bingo play window as your bingo games are taking place, offering twice the fun.

Bingo Software

The massively popular Globalcom/888 bingo software is the platform used to provide the games at Isle of Bingo.  This massively popular software can be seen at many of the internet’s bingo sites, including sites like 888 Bingo and Bingo Tag.  If you’ve played at any other Globalcom-powered bingo site, you will feel right at home on the Isle of Bingo.

The solid and reliable bingo platform is popular for a good reason – it’s good.  Although the software feels a little dated now, especially as many bingo software platforms have received facelifts over the past 12 months or so.  However, what it does it does well.  The bingo tickets are easy to follow, the chat window is large and simple to use and there is just enough information and there are just enough options to offer everything you need to enjoy games of bingo without cluttering the platform.

Washed Up or Dream Destination?

Isle of Bingo is a fairly decent addition to the ever-expanding collection of online bingo sites on the net.  However, it doesn’t really bring anything new to the fray.  All of the bingo rooms, games and promotions found at Isle of Bingo can be found at a large number of other Dragonfish bingo sites.  So, although the bingo experience at Isle of Bingo isn’t terrible, it does all feel a bit like déjà vu.
