Telly Talk Bingo is a new bingo site that launched in the middle of December 2013, which seems to be targeting players who also like to watch TV. Oh, and if the title is to be believed, they want talkers too. This is quite understandable. Especially as friendly, community bingo sites are generally successful bingo sites. You would want to target these players specifically, certainly if you launch your new bingo site on an already busy network and you use software that can be found at every other site on the net. Of course you want players who share a common interest and who like to chat to each other. So, what can you bring to the table in exchange for these bingo players then Telly Talk Bingo?
Who’s Watching Telly With You?
Telly Talk Bingo is a site on the giant Cashcade Bingo Network, alongside popular and established bingo sites such as ITV Bingo and Kiss My Bingo. Most of the bingo rooms at Telly Talk Bingo are hosted on the Cashcade Bingo Network, which means busier bingo rooms and bigger jackpots. However, there are also two standalone bingo rooms at Telly Talk Bingo – Reality Bites and Drama Queens. In these two bingo rooms you will be competing solely against other players at Telly Talk Bingo, making for a more intimate affair, should you choose.
Turning on the Telly
The signup process at Telly Talk Bingo is incredibly simple. It is exactly the same as signing up at any other Cashcade bingo site and it has just a couple of differences from the signup process at every Dragonfish bingo site too. Basically, if you’ve signed up to more than three bingo sites in your life, you’ll be familiar with this industry-standard registration form. There are a handful of personal details required, some user info and, of course, a payment method. You HAVE TO add a credit or debit card at this stage. Otherwise you will not be able to signup. However, the site assures you that no monies will be taken until you request to make a deposit.
We’ve Seen This Show Before
All of the bingo games and side games at Telly Talk Bingo are powered by the Globalcom/888 bingo platform, which is used by all sites on the Cashcade network. The plague-like bingo platform requires no explanation. It’s robust, reliable, easy to use and navigate, a popular choice for bingo site operators (duh!) and it has everything you need; including all if the info you might require clearly displayed, the games are easy to follow and it has a nice big chat window…but it’s boring! It’s old, it’s outdated and it’s too damn recognisable. When us guys and gals in the office get wind of a new Globalcom-powered bingo site, there’s almost a sense of dread that descends. There’s nothing wrong with it whatsoever. The platform works very well but it’s the equivalent of playing at a ‘council’ bingo site. You know, bingo sites that all look the same, just with a different council’s emblem on them.
Available Channels
So, what can you watch at Telly Talk Bingo then? There are three bingo variants on the box – US-style 75-ball pattern bingo, 75-ball line bingo and classic 90-ball bingo. There are a couple of ongoing progressive jackpots to play for, half a dozen or so weekly guaranteed jackpot games and, at the time of writing this article, a completely empty Winners’ Gallery but we’re sure this will fill up after day one.
Would You Watch it Again?
Okay, at the start of this review we mentioned the name and our presumption that the ‘Telly Talk Bingo’ label meant that the site was aiming for the chatty and friendly TV-watching, bingo playing public. However, besides a few chat games and the clichéd standalone bingo room names – Reality Bites and Drama Queens – Telly Talk Bingo showed no more evidence of being a TV fan-orientated bingo site than Foxy Bingo or Tombola Bingo, for example. All in all, it’s just another Cashcade site. There are no season premiers or end of season finales. The ratings may spike at launch but overall this bingo site will have to go down as another repeat of an old black and white classic that’s being shown for the umpteenth time. It’s scores no more than 3/5 on our scorecard. So, if there was nothing else on and we were bored, yes we may watch (play at) Telly Talk Bingo again but if there’s another bingo site that’s more appealing and on at the same time, we’ll happily change channels. ‘Pass the remote.’
Behind the Scenes
