Celebrities – if they’re not hanging out in the hottest night club, going to glitzy premieres or being feted in awards ceremonies, they are going shopping. We know what they wear to the awards nights and premieres, but what do they wear when go out spending all their money?
As it turns out, it kinda depends. These are just a few recent examples of celebrity shopping fashion.
Jaime King out in Hollywood
Actress Jaime King was spotted getting in some shopping with a girlfriend in Hollywood recently. She looks cute and chic in a white top with black details and jeans. Perfect for trying on loads of clothes without looking too rumpled, we think.
Vanessa Hudgens in Beverly Hills
Vanessa Hudgens, former Disney darling turned ‘Spring Breakers’ star, was snapped picking up two bags of boho chic goodies from Planet Blue. She told staff she was getting ready for the Coachella music festival, so they put on Skrillex to get her in the mood.
Her floaty dress and chunky boots hit all the right notes, channelling the 90s fashions that trendsetters just haven’t got enough of yet.
Olivia Wilde in New York
Olivia Wilde looked fit to burst whilst picking up some books in the West Village in NYC. The actress is expecting her first child (with fiance Jason Sudeikis) in May, so she’s clearly stocking up on reading material for the long nights in with baby.
Throughout the winter, she has been providing us with masterclasses in layering with a bump, and this relaxed yet pulled together look once again shows us how it’s done.
Emma Roberts and Evan Peters in LA
Actors Emma Roberts and Evan Peters took a lunch break whilst out furniture shopping in LA. The couple, who got engaged over the holiday period, must be getting ready for their life together.
Emma’s outfit is just a bit meh. Each piece is individually cute – and that top is a great colour on her – but they just don’t seem to work together. Evan has his hair in a half pony tail, which (let’s be honest here) barely works on hirsute footballers in the middle of a match. On Evan, it just looks a bit wrong. Maybe if he had had a bolder outfit on? Who knows? But those wispy pieces framing his face are kind of sweet.
Taylor Swift in New York
Taylor Swift is a global singing sensation, an actress in a hotly anticipated film (‘The Giver’) and the girl just about every other young 20-something woman wants to be BFF with. Oh, and apparently she is a crafting goddess, if her recent purchases are anything to go by.
She was spotted picking up fabric and art supplies in SoHo, NYC, looking snuggly and warm in a duffle coat, opaque tights, black boots and a sweet little knitted hat (which she probably made herself). Her makeup is perfect, and her hair is perfect. Naturally, we hate her, are viciously jealous of her and love her all at the same time.
Rachel Stevens in London
Rachel Stevens’ second child is due pretty much any day now, and she has been seen getting in some last-minute shopping before the baby comes. At the same time, she is showing all these other celebrities what shopping style really is: some stretchy layers, a warm jacket, sunnies for going in and out of shops and a good pair of comfy shoes.
