Celebrities with July Birthdays

This year sure has flown by, hasn’t it? It’s already half-way gone, and we still have so much left to do! The good thing about July is that it is the height of summer, so we still have holidays to look forward to and warm weekends to enjoy.

People born in July can either be Cancers (so they are emotional and strong, making them easily relatable), or they can be Leos (natural born leaders and attention seekers).

Either way, that makes July the perfect month for celebrities to be born. Let’s take a look at some of the celebrities with July birthdays.

This odd pair share a birthday and an ability entertain like few others. So pull out your favourite DVD of Peter’s stand up sets or specials, or pull up a seat and enjoy Mean Girls or The Parent Trap all over again.

Tom Hanks may be getting all the accolades for his meaty, dramatic roles of late (and deservedly so), but he got his break acting in comedies. So to celebrate his birthday, we’d suggest Splash, Sleepless in Seattle or Big.

Tulisa and Harrison Ford – 13th July

Tulisa and Harrison Ford – can you imagine a pair with less in common? Of course, they both bring happiness to their fans, and that’s what matters. So dance around to Tulisa’s albums, or do a classic Harrison Ford film marathon. Either way, you’ll have a great time.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Brian May – 19th July

Both of these guys leave legions of screaming fans in their wake, but only one has fans of both his legendary guitar work and his astrophysics research. Still, we think both men would feel honoured if you celebrated their birthdays with a good bit of star gazing.

Naturally enough, you’d expect us to suggest a Harry Potter marathon to celebrate this young talent, but instead, we’d like to point to his later work, like Kill Your Darlings and The Woman in Black, for your consideration as well.

The 24th of July is The Day of the Singers. Both The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness and JLo herself were born on the day. So put on your dancing shoes, pop on your favourite tracks, and dance the night away.

Mick Jagger, Sandra Bullock and Kate Beckinsale – 26th July

This day has a little something for everyone. Music fans can put on their favourite Stones’ album, sci-fi fans can marvel at Kate’s skills in the Underworld series and romantic comedy buffs can fall under Sandra’s spell while watching While You Were Sleeping and Miss Congeniality.

Action star-turned California governor-turned action star Arnie’s birthday is on the 30th. The obvious choice to celebrate this is the Terminator series or Predator, but his is also remarkably skilful in Twins and True Lies. There’s plenty to choose from here.

JK Rowling – 31st July

Another crucial piece of the Harry Potter success story was born in July – the creator herself! That means it’s only appropriate to celebrate her birthday with a good old fashioned reading session. You know you’ve got the books, so you may as well raise your glass and turn the page for JK.
