Playtech has awarded the first two Playtech Awards of 2017 to Gala Bingo and William Hill! These awards go out seasonally, in Spring, Autumn and Winter, with an extra annual award. Winning one is a great source of pride and offers the company’s recognition for excellence in online gambling. The awards are judged by an internal panel at the prolific slots provider, which is known for creating Age of Gods and producing live dealer games.

Gala Bingo won the Autumn Playtech Award for the success of their Cashpot games, with an enhanced jackpot. Gala worked with Playtech, using player feedback, to develop the Cashpot games portfolio. This introduced an innovative jackpot mechanism to the slots, which triggers based on stakes over time. In other words; the more time passes, the more likely the jackpot drops. The game launched in December 2016 and is Gala’s most popular Playtech slot.

The judging panel said the new mechanism “has helped to keep players engaged” and that it has a continued commitment to “guaranteeing a winning experience everyday”. The team at Gala has won a top prize of a premium gadget hamper as a result, so it’s nice to see hard work rewarded.

Angus Nisbet, Brand Director, Gala Bingo, said: “Cashpot games have been a great success and the team at Playtech have contributed a great deal to this. We have a great relationship and winning the latest Playtech Award is recognition of everyone’s efforts and achievements in the last year.”

William Hill won the Spring Playtech Award for successfully integrating and launching the Playtech Single Wallet across all its sports and casino products. This essentially means that players can have a single balance displayed across all these products, making the experience of hopping between (for example) slots and sportsbook quick and seamless.

This was supported by a TV campaign in the UK that gave Playtech a boost in Net Gaming Revenues and attracted a host of new players between February and June. The judging panel recognised the achievements due to “close collaboration with the Playtech Projects team at a key stage in development” and its ability to “successfully cross-sell its products using its new Playtech Single Wallet”. The company has won the top prize of a lucury day of pampering as a result, which staff will surely be pleased about.

Ishai Amit, Head of Casino & Poker, William Hill, said: “We’re delighted to win the Playtech Award. We work closely with the team there and this year has been pivotal in developing and deploying our single wallet solution which, thanks to close collaboration and hard work on both sides, has gone to plan.”

Shimon Akad, COO, Playtech, said: “This initiative has worked extremely well with all our licensees eager to take part and showcase the innovative ways in which they market our industry-leading products.

“We’re delighted that Gala Bingo and William Hill have won this year’s second and first Playtech Awards. We pride ourselves on creating and delivering best-performing leading technology and great customer service, and work closely in partnership with all our licensees to build the best offering. I’d like to thank them for their continued support.”
