Sky’s betting offerings have been outlawed in Latvia.

Several notable gambling websites have been blacklisted by the Latvian authorities, including Sky Bet.

This latest move follows the previous announcement earlier in August that the Latvian Lotteries and Gambling Supervision Inspection (IAUI) would be adding several domains to a blacklist.

The sites which are named on the list will no longer be able to operate in Latvia.

The most high profile name on the list is Sky Bet. This includes its websites: Skybet.com, Skypoker.com and Skyvegas.com – which are now all banned in the country.

Other notable sites that have been added to the blacklist includes: Redbet.com, Redflushcasino.com, Netbet.com, and lv.unibet-2.com.

This was the third update to the blacklist in the month of August, in an apparent clampdown on gambling in Latvia.

The blacklist was published under the basis of the Electronic Communications Law, which came into effect on August 1 2014.

Earlier on in the year, in May, the gambling regulator signed a co-operation agreement with the gambling authorities in Latvia’s neighbouring Baltic States of Lithuania and Estonia covering the “sharing or exchange of good practices in the field of supervision and control of the organisation of lotteries and gambling”.
