If there’s one thing I look forward to every month, it’s the new ‘game of the month’ promotions from popular mobile bingo brands. Why? Because we get to test drive the latest progressive jackpot slots for free with absolutely no risk to our own cash! Unfortunately, there’s been a bit of a change to how this particular promotion is being run…

…and this means not everyone is guaranteed to get that free play offer. Usually, all you’d need to do is log in and play the on-screen mini game to get some bonus spins on the house however, new terms and conditions suggest not all players will be invited to play – as I found out this morning!

Mr Spin has just revealed his latest game of the month release – Big Box Bonus, which is loosely based on the global smash hit Deal or No Deal gameshow. Blue and red boxes dominate the reels during the bonus game and when at least three-of-a-kind land, each box lifts its lid to reveal a multiplier prize. Red boxes house better multipliers. Land three mystery banker symbols to enter the bonus round…

…where golden boxes now make an appearance. Big fun and multipliers of up to 500x hide within the golden boxes, but you’ll need to get them to fall into place to reveal those prizes! The latest release looks great fun but I received no free bonus to play. The only thing that popped up on my screen was a message to accept the new terms and conditions relating to the “game of the month” promotions.

Section “7g Game of the Month Bonus” of the terms and conditions states:

• From time to time, we may offer Game of the Month promotions, which will provide one of the following bonus types; Deposit Match, Bonus Credit, or Bonus Spins as stated in the relevant game download promotion.
• New players will need to deposit the qualifying amount in the specific promotion to be eligible for their bonus. Now this one is new. Previously, newbies didn’t have to make a deposit, they only had to have an account to be eligible for the free offer. The good news is there’s still a no deposit bonus to claim on sign-up.
• Existing players will receive either a deposit match, bonus credit or bonus spins based on the individual promotion. I didn’t. The fine print on the welcome page states the offer is “eligible to registered players only.” I’ve been a member for a few years and have previously made deposits. I can only assume there’s a problem with the promotion.
• Depending on the bonus issued, the Deposit Match and Bonus credit will be paid into your bonus credit account where it will be subject to the Bonus Credit Wagering Requirement. Free Games bonuses will be locked to the Game of the Month for that month.
• The Game of the Month bonus will expire as stated in individual promotions, after the Game of the Month has been downloaded.
• £50 maximum withdrawal for promotions offering a free bonus or free spins without the need to make a deposit. This was the same as before.
• All players will need to opt into marketing communications to receive any information about the bonus received.

You cannot play any of the games, make a deposit or a withdrawal until you accept the new terms and conditions. Whether you get the bonus spins offer or not is another matter. We have contacted Mr Spin Bingo support for more clarification on who does and does not qualify and we will update you as soon as we get a reply.
