
Online gambling firm Interwetten have announced a short-term sponsorship deal with the Lotus Formula One motor racing team.
The sponsorship will run for just two consecutive races, with the Interwetten branding appearing on the side pod of Lotus’ cars.
This is not the first time the betting firm has sponsored Lotus. This weekend in Germany at the Hockenheimring Grand Prix, the Interwetten logo was present on the cars.
It is also scheduled to feature on both Lotus cars at the Hungarian Grand Prix this coming weekend.
The Hungarian Grand Prix will be the final race before Formula One enters its summer shutdown period.
Lotus currently sits eighth in the 2014 Formula One constructors’ championship having scored just eight points from ten races so far this season.
All of these points have been won by French driver Romain Grosjean, with teammate Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado yet to score a point.
