Punters at a casino in Dundee got more than they bet on when a huge fight broke out.
The fight which took place at the Grosvenor Casino was described by one eyewitness as “one of the worst fights I’ve ever seen in the city”.
The Police arrived at the scene afterwards, but no arrests have been made so far.
The witness said he became aware of the trouble when a chair was knocked over and a glass was smashed.
“I think that it started with two people and then others jumped in,” he said.
“It ended up with at least 10 or 11 people involved and it looked like a sea of people moving around from left to right.
“The bouncers tried to get involved and break it up but it seemed they just couldn’t get it under control.”
The fight took place in the early hours of Sunday morning at approximately 2.20am. It is believed to have taken place for nearly ten minutes before it eventually was brought under control.
The eyewitness added: “It was like something out of the Wild West.
“We saw a doorman with a cut to his head and someone involved with the fight leaving with his top off.
“The whole incident made us very concerned for the safety of the staff.”
Another witness said on Twitter that she had “put her back out” when she got caught in the middle of the incident.
A spokeswoman for the casino said: “We can confirm that an incident occurred in the casino on Saturday night/Sunday morning.
“It is not the kind of behaviour we welcome in our casino and it was dealt with quickly by our security team. The police were immediately informed and will be dealing with this incident moving forwards with our full cooperation.
“At Grosvenor Casinos the safety of our employees and our customers is our number one priority.
“We offer a safe and responsible environment in which adults can enjoy the facilities we have on offer.”
