Yggdrasil unearths Valley of the Gods for Egyptian slot fans

There has long been a traditional of Egyptian themed slots, from IGT’s classic Cleopatra to some more outlandish titles like Leprechaun Goes Egypt. Yggdrasil’s latest slot offering is an updated approach, called Valley of the Gods.

Situated in the ancient lands of the Nile, Valley of the Gods uses some sumptuous artwork of Egyptian statues and hieroglyphics. What really stands out here, however, is the scarabs- so it’s no slot for those who don’t like creepy crawlies!

The scarab beetles actually scuttle around the game, removing blockers and later granting multipliers and extra lives. To start with, players want to land winning combinations in order to release the golden scarabs. They then begin working for the player, removing blockers to create more symbol combinations and multipliers to boost wins. Extra lives gives players an extra shot at extending winning runs, so a streak doesn’t have to end right away. The secret to eternal life!

This is supported by a strong soundtrack, with mystical, ambient music that would be fitting in a Mummy movie. This game also supports Yggdrasil’s special BRAG tool, allowing players to watch a reply of a win and share it through social media!

Head of Slots at Yggdrasil Gaming, Jonas Strandman, said: “Valley of the Gods deconstructs the ever-popular Egyptian theme and rebuilds it into a game that will truly stand the test of time. To achieve this, we have created an original game design concept, combining proven crowd-favourite features with new-to-market mechanics, all complemented with a grand soundscape and great visuals.”

“The outcome is just as epic as we hoped for – a great adventure which will take our players on a journey filled with quality entertainment, exciting gameplay and legendary wins.”

Yggdrasil is also known for Vikings Go Wild, Vikings Go Berzerk and Sunny Shores.
