MoneySupermarket.com says the cheapest iPhone 5S 16GB is with Vodafone and from MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk. For a 24-month contract, you get a free iPhone, 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB data for £29 monthly.

For the cheapest unlimited data plan, you have to go to the plan MobileShop.co.uk provides with 3. They offer 600 minutes, unlimited texts and a free iPhone for £36 a month.

USwitch partnered with MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk and Vodafone to offer a great deal: a free phone, unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 1GB of data a month for £33 a month.

And if you want a Pay As You Go (PAYG) sim, the cheapest deal you can find is with EE, who are selling the handset for £519.99, about £20 less than other retailers.

According to USwitch, you can get a 24-month contract from Vodafone for just £11 per month, through MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk. Of course, there are a few catches. First, you only get 100 minutes, and you get no data on this plan. Second, you have to pay £354.99 for the handset. On the bright side, you do get unlimited texts.

The cheapest Galaxy S5 deal from MoneySupermarket.com is a 24-month contract from Orange, through Dialaphone.co.uk. Though it does cost £32.99 a month (after you get £120 cash back from multiple redemptions), you get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1000 MB of data. You also get the phone for free.

It would seem all the PAYG deals are made equal here, as they all are selling the handsets for £559.89.

You could also get 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data from T-Mobile and e2save.com. After you get your £338 cash back, it costs just £13.91 per month on a 24-month contract.

For just a little bit more a month, you can get unlimited texts and unlimited data from T-Mobile and MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk. On the plan, you also get the phone for free and 250 minutes, all for £24.99 a month, after you get £72 cash back from multiple redemptions.

The Sony Xperia isn’t the most popular mobile, but that means companies are eager to make a deal. MoneySupermarket.com has a 24-month contract on Vodafone, through MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk, for a free handset, 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB data for £20 a month – after you redeem several redemptions worth £216.

If you want unlimited data and unlimited texts, you need to go to T-Mobile, also provided by MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk. You’ll also get the handset for free, as well as 500 minutes, and after you get your £72 cash back, it will only cost you £24.99 on a 24-month contract.

With PAYG, the handset will cost you £529.89, pretty much no matter where you buy.

As you can see from these many mobile deals, it’s probably best to either search through a comparison site, or just go directly to MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk, which seems to somehow get better deals than other mobile phone providers.

Still, you’ll need to do plenty of research to make sure you get good coverage in your area, to make sure you get the best deals on add-ons to your plan and to make sure the phone you get is right for you.

But at least you know where to go for a great deal, once you’ve done your homework.
