Shrove Tuesday, better known as Pancake Day, is just a couple of weeks away, falling on the 17th February 2015. If you’re anything like the Two Little Fleas team, the one thing you love more than no deposit bingo is a warm, sweet pancake, covered in lemon and sugar! But this celebration’s not really for the grown ups…

If you want to get your kids excited and involved in Pancake Day this year, we’ve come up with 4 amazing pancake games and pancake activities you can try! From the delicious to the daft, the traditional to the unusual, these fun ideas will ensure you have a yummy, sticky Tuesday that’s lots of fun for everyone.

It’s time to get flipping!

1. Make Pancake Portraits

From chocolatesauce hair to bananaslice eyes, you’llneed to stockpile lots of different pancake topping ingredients to play this game. The rules are simple, everyone puts their name in a hat and picks a fresh name at random. Keeping the name they chose secret, everyone must create a pancake portrait that looks like the person in question. The artist who creates the best pancake likeness wins!

2. Pancake Races

Now for something a little more traditional! One saucepan and one pancake each. Pancake athletes must race to the end of the track, flipping their pancake as they go. The first person to reach the finish line with their pancake still in the pan is the winner. Ready, steady, flip!

3. The Pancake Obstacle Course

And if a plain old pancake race isn’t enough fun for your little ones, why not create your very own pancake obstacle course for a little extra challenge? From cones to run around, to obstacles to leap over, this twist on the Pancake Day classic will have kids giggling and the pancakes flying!

4. The Flip Off

30 seconds on the clock. One pancake in the pan. The goal? To successfully flip and catch your pancake as many times as you can. Whoever is the top flipper takes the prize! You could even create a leaderboard, then get the top two flippers to go head to head!
