Eyes Down – Doors Closed!

They are not the only club to do so, in recent months Mecca Bingo has announced a few of its clubs will close for good shortly, including those in Hull, Halifax, Bridgewater, Somerset and Gloucester.

A spokesperson from Mecca Bingo said: “Recent years have been hard for hospitality and regrettably we’ve had to consider some difficult options. The proposal to close our Dewsbury club is currently being discussed. We have begun consultation with our team and will be making an announcement once those conversations are complete.”
As of yet there is no official word won when or if the Dewsbury branchy of Mecca Bingo will close, however, social media is awash with rumours! One Facebook commentor from the area revealed she was told, along with all other bingoers, that the club will officially close its doors on February 26th.
Many bingo players from the area are shocked at the news, especially with it being one of the more popular places to play bingo games. Less than a year ago the world-renowned Bonkers Bingo was hosted from this very club with tickets selling out in a matter of hours.
