The Real Housewives series is amazing. Each show, though ostensibly about rich, pampered housewives or divorcees, actually has its own flavour and sense. So which are your favourite Real Housewives series? We go through them all below.
The Real Housewives of Orange County

This was the show that started it all. Inspired by shows like Desperate Housewives and Peyton Place, show creators wanted to let the world see what it was really like to live in a world where the average house price is $1.6 million. As it turns out, that world is filled with aspiring actresses and fashion designers and plenty of drama.
The Real Housewives of New York

Next up was this spin-off. Set in jetsetting New York City, producers couldn’t find enough housewives to make up a full cast, so they welcomed women with careers, like Bethenny Frankel and LuAnn de Lessups. Currently, however, it seems most of the housewives are worried about whether they’re Team Kristen or Team Heather.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta

This is currently the most watched series of Real Housewives, and it’s no surprise why: the music, the glamour, and the constant fighting is just too much fun. Plus, they have a legitimate television star in NeNe Leakes, who has been on the show from the beginning, despite also getting parts in hit shows like The New Normal and Glee.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Once New York got its own Housewives, it was inevitable that New Jersey would get one soon enough. After all, New Jersey is like New York’s loud, drama-seeking cousin. And this series is just that. Except in Jersey, most of the drama stays in the family – at least it does in Joe and Teresa’s.
The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills

Beverley Hills is just an hour away from Orange County, but it might as well be a different planet. Sure, there are the same aspiring actresses, but there are far more actual actors and actresses, including Kim and Kyle Richards (who were child stars before that meant a life of rehab and tabloid gossip). The Beverley Hills show also got a coup in the form of Camille Grammer, Kelsey Grammer’s ex-wife, who brought a dusting of real star power to the show before she left in 2012.
The Real Housewives of Miami

The newest kid on the block, the Real Housewives of Miami debuted in 2011. It’s wasted no time in dialling up the drama, however. After all, it took less than three seasons for Lea and Adriana to go from best friends to mortal enemies, a state of affairs that even Lisa can’t fix.
Incidentally, there was also a Real Housewives D.C., but it was the only Housewives show to be cancelled, and after just one season. So which Real Housewives series is your favourite, and which do you wish went the way of RHODC? Let us know in the comments!
