EastEnders – The murder investigation continues

Frankly, the EastEnders Lucy Beale murder story line just keeps getting better and better. Take what happened on Thursday: as Jake’s plea hearing came up, Ian and Peter prepared for the worst. It turns out that Summerhayes found out that someone gave the police an interesting lead. They apparently saw Lucy and Jake together the night Lucy died. And she immediately went to see the Beales to tell them what she knew. At the same time, Abi and Max got a surprise visit from the police as well, who wanted them to clarify their statements.

Coronation Street – Owen punches Gary

When Anna betrayed Owen the way she did, we knew it would be bad. But we had no idea it would lead to this. Lately, the two have been at the very brink. Owen, backed into a corner on all sides, agrees to take on some contracting work for Roy. He gets more than he reckoned on, however, when he found out that Gary was the one who paid for Faye’s night at the ice rink. Already irritated by that news, he absolutely flipped when Gary returns – with a drunk Faye. Pushed too far, he lashed out at Gary, punching him. Of course, Anna knows that this is all her fault deep down, but she just doesn’t know what to do about it.

Emmerdale – Alicia confronts Priya

It seems that everyone knows Priya is actively trying to get David back, but somehow Priya didn’t realise they didn’t approve. Still, that didn’t stop Alicia from confronting her. The tense altercation ended when Alicia assured Priya that if she didn’t get over him, Alicia and David would pack up and move out of town. A furious Priya told Rishi what Alicia had said, and to her utter shock, Rishi agreed: Priya needed to back off. Will this trigger her eating disorder again? It seems like it very well could, not least because that was how she got back in David’s confidences in the first place.

Hollyoaks – Patrick tricks Sienna

Poor Sienna’s never-ending search for her daughter goes on, and Patrick is on hand to make sure she gets off track. Sienna thought she was getting close, when she found the adoptive mother of her daughter, ‘Caroline’. But Patrick got there first, and he bribed the mother to lie and say Caroline had run away. Undaunted, Sienna hired a private investigator to track her down, but again Patrick stepped in and paid the guy off so he would lie and say he couldn’t find the girl and give Patrick all the information he had. Finally, Patrick told Sienna that he’s found Caroline, then he took her to a field. There, he showed her ‘Caroline’, who is supposedly playing hockey while her mother watches. That’s enough to convince Sienna that she should wait until Caroline is older to reach out to her. Finally, Patrick met up with the mother from the hockey field and handed over the private eye’s information on Caroline. He then pays off the mother, telling her to find Caroline and make sure she never meets Sienna. But why is he doing all of this?
