Hosting a get-together is always an easy way to stress yourself out, and it’s never harder than when you host a holiday get-together with your family. You have so much to worry about, you start to wonder if you can borrow some of Santa’s elves.
Well, not to worry, because although these party gadgets won’t be as useful as Santa’s helpers, they will take some of the stress out of hosting.
Garlic Zoom
When you have to cook loads of special food, you generally have to prepare loads of garlic. This gadget is perfect for that. Just pop your peeled garlic in, give it a little roll, and it comes out minced. It’s also adjustable: the more you roll it, the finer the garlic is minced.

Big Chill wine fridge
If you have a lot of friends and family coming over and they each bring a bottle of wine, you are soon going to run out of space in your refrigerator. Unless you have this wine fridge, that is. It can hold 14 bottles of wine, chilling them to 3°C, without taking up much space.

Egg Yolk Plucker
You may find yourself cooking with recipes that call for just yolks or just egg whites. If you just have a few eggs to separate, that’s easy enough. But if you are cooking for loads of people, separating all those eggs can take forever. This little gizmo does all the hard work for you. Just crack the egg into a bowl, and put the silver ring around the yolk. Give it a squeeze, and it sucks up white, leaving the yolk behind.

Bar10der
We’ve actually talked about this gadget before, and although it does look ridiculous, it will come in handy during large get-together. Imagine how much time you’ll save not having to show people where all the bartending gear is? That alone makes this product worth it.

Induction Speaker
Have you ever hosted a party where the guests decide to put their music on? It’s frustrating, not least because the music gets shut off and everyone makes awkward, quiet chitchat until your guest figures out how to use your speakers and finds the song they want to play. This induction speaker avoids the long pause, as it could not be simpler to use. Place your phone on the speaker, and the music is amplified. If only it had a feature that kept people from playing rubbish tunes.

The Disco Diva washing up sponge
Okay, this is less of a gadget and more of a novelty item, but it will feel like a magic wand. Put it near a pile of dirty dishes. People will notice it, laugh and have the urge to test it out. Little by little, your dishes will be washed, and no one will complain about having to do it.

Fridge Monkey
This oddly named device isn’t a monkey – it doesn’t even look like one. Instead, it is a tray that holds the bottom of the beer pyramid in place. You’ll be able to stack up piles of beers, saving space and preventing a crashing catastrophe when someone accidentally grabs a load-bearing bottle.

Christmas pudding bin bags
These holiday classics are ideal for any party. They bring festive cheer to the rubbish, but more importantly, they are big and heavy enough to withstand all the refuse that comes with Christmas, be it wrapping paper, turkey bones, paper cups or even an annoyingly noisy toy that mysteriously breaks after one afternoon.

Freetime robot vacuum cleaner
It is a scientific fact that the amount of dirt and debris on your floor increases exponentially with each additional guest. Take hoovering off your already packed to-do list with this robot vacuum cleaner.

A giant teapot
This is another item which isn’t a gadget per se, but after a huge meal and a long day, everyone will be grateful when you bring out this 12-cup beauty.

These party gadgets won’t stop any big arguments, and they won’t pull a sullen teenager out of the corner, but they will make cooking, cleaning and hosting that little bit easier. That way, you can get out of the kitchen and into the middle of the party.
