Kids complaining of boredom? Why not turn them into little magicians? This collection of easy-to-follow magic trick tutorials will keep them amused for hours, leaving you free to enjoy another round or three of tempting free bingo (with no deposit required!). And if a spot of abracadabra doesn’t do the trick, why not dip into one of our other summer holiday boredom busters:

1. Julian’s Super Simple Coin Trick

This is a really, beautifully easy magic trick to teach to children and it all hinges on making a “coin sandwich”. All you’ll need to do the trick? A 10p and two 5p pieces. Just make sure your little wizard doesn’t run off to the pick’n’mix section before you’ve had time for your abracadabra moment!

2. Mary’s Psychic Floating Ketchup Trick

Teach your little one to control ketchup sachets with the power of their mind (and with a little help from Mary the magician!). You’ll need a sachet of ketchup and a bottle of water. With a little bit of practice, your small magician will be able to impress all of their friends when they get back to school in September.

3.How to Disappear a Coin with a Teaspoon

This trick will take a little practice and patience but for slightly older kids, this is a brilliant, satisfying magic trick to pull off once they’ve mastered that sneaky flip. You might want to watch this video a few times to make sure you really get the hang of the coin toss.

4. How to Levitate a Paper Ball

Magician Mike has a great trick anyone can learn which will give you the power to levitate paper. If your youngster wants to try out a spot of Wingardium Leviosa themselves, all you’ll need is a piece of paper, a pencil, some hand-eye coordination, perseverance, practice and patience!

5. How to Stick a Pencil in Your Head

This super easy trick is a great one for grossing out friends and family – just make sure your little David Blaine knows never to actually put a pencil into their nose or ear, otherwise, this trick is all about practicing in front of a mirror until you get it right.
